Pilots
A pilot for Mission Aviation Fellowship has a unique and exciting ministry...
Every three minutes, somewhere in the world, a MAF aircraft is taking off or landing at one of over 2,500 airstrips... more than any other airline on the planet! Most of these airstrips are in remote places where there is no other means of mechanised transport.
It is adventurous, challenging and demanding flying requiring a degree of skill and professionalism rarely attained in other light aircraft operations.
Your practical and technical skills as a MAF pilot will make life-changing differences, physically and spiritually, to people living at the “ends of the earth”.
Applicants are required to have an International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) based Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Single Engine Command Instrument Rating with appropriate aviation medical certificate.
1000 hours flight experience is the minimum licensing with a SE IFR, ME IFR is also desirable.
Pilots will carry out flying duties under the leadership of the Chief Pilot. Pilots are usually required to spend some nights away from base each month to complete planned flights.
Pilots with less than the required experience are encouraged to express their interest.
Positions are based in Papua New Guinea & Arnhem Land.
