    Description

     

    The Australian Centre for Mission Aviation  (ACMA) where flight and engineering training is conducted is situated at the Coldstream Airfield on the outer eastern fringe of Melbourne. The Centre is a joint venture involving Melbourne School of Theology (MST), Mission Aviation Fellowship and JAARS (Wycliffe Bible Translators) and is located on a privately owned airstrip that is also home to a flying school and aircraft operated by private owners.
    Flight and Engineering students with special interest in mission aviation attend technical and trade training classes and complete the academic and flight training at the ACMA centre to qualify as entry level professional pilots and/or engineers.  The training is delivered in two streams - flight and engineering - with students selecting either but some students complete both courses offering wider scope for their future service.
