Aircraft Engineers
(AME, LAME, Aircraft Avionics Engineer, Aeronautical Engineer/ Design Engineer, Aircraft Painters, Aircraft Sheet Metal Workers, Aircraft Component Technicians/ Overhaulers)
Mission Aviation Fellowship has one of the best groups of aircraft maintenance engineers of any general aviation organisation in the world....
An International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) based aviation maintenance licence is the minimum licensing requirement for all aviation maintenance vacancies. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate practical aviation maintenance experience.
They will work closely with the Chief Engineer as a part of the maintenance team working on single piston and/or turbine engined aircraft.
Duties include performing aircraft maintenance in accordance with appropriate standards and practices, supporting the effective performance and development of the aviation maintenance team and completing certification and documentation of work as required.
Positions are based in Papua New Guinea, Arnhem Land & Mareeba.
"What does it take to work with MAF?"
When most people ask this question, they're asking about the basics; How many hours do I need? What licenses must I hold? What kind of experience must I have?
Important questions for sure, and generally a good place to start. But these questions do little to address the real question that matters most... "do I have what it takes?"
To help answer this question, consider that first and foremost, MAF is looking for...
- People called by God, qualified and dedicated with a passion to serve God in worldwide ministry...
- People who will go the distance to share God's love - no matter what the barriers may be...
- People who want to serve God through their skills and talents to help overcome barriers to the Gospel...
- People with servant's attitudes that are flexible enough to adapt, while still able to work within the highest technical standards...
In case you missed the recurring theme, let's sum it up; above all else, it takes a servant heart first.
In fact, without the support of those "servant hearts" who have gone before, Mission Aviation Fellowship would not be where it is today: advancing God's Kingdom around the world since 1946.
